Designing a vehicle wrap could be as easy as using our stock images, or creating a custom wrap which could entail hours of art time. A good design will impact the overall success of a vehicle wrap. Once designed and approved, the vehicle wrap will then be sent to production. Sometimes, if the job requires it, a special "perforated window film" will be used to legally cover windows. From production, the vehicle will be in the pre-install, or "prep," phase. At this point we may debadge the vehicle, which entails removing emblems that could interfere with the installer's ability to make a wrap look like paint. We may ask the customer if it's okay to remove some items to help achieve that painted look. This is preferred in most cases. The vehicle will then be cleaned to the point that it is almost sterile. It is important that the customer tell us if there are any areas on the vehicle that have been damaged or the original manufacturer's paint job has been compromised. Now it's time for the install. Customers can rest assured that Display Services, Inc installer will certainly perform the install correctly. Our professional installer will take a map of the vehicle's design, or a proof from The Bad Wrap™ design system, and lay out the full-size graphics for the vehicle. Once the placement is assured, the application process will start. The time of install will vary depending on the type of vehicle and the amount of film needed to complete the job. |
